What you COULd be Co-Founding

SolarPunk Style's mission is to catalyse the radical change we need by inspiring people with visions of deliciously sustainable futures today. 

The plan is to build a YouTube channel to showcase community groups, businesses and artists doing solarpunk style things.

My aim is for us to become a financially abundant enterprise. I'd draw on my experience of successfully raising money through crowdfunding and seed investors to help get us started.

The current plan is to sustain the channel through subscriptions and collaborations with solarpunk-aligned partners.

This is the very beginning of this project. By joining now you can have a big impact in how it is shaped and what direction we take.

Who you’ll be co-founding with

Me (Alex)! I've worked as a journalist in the UK, Venezuela and India. After that I led the campaign to stop Brixton Market getting knocked down and created the world's first Tea Pub. We raised more than £400,000 for it through crowdfunding and seed investors.

Some things I bring to the project

Experience building and leading teams gained over more than 15 years as an activist and entrepreneur.

PR, marketing and social media skills learned as a former journalist, campaigner and marketer.

Serious sustainability knowledge from my MA in Leadership for Sustainable Development.

Years of experience helping build the solarpunk movement.

Enthusiasm, energy and a big laugh!
